One of the most affordable Springdale hotels, the Zion Park Motel is a convenient option for your Zion National Park base camp. Located only one mile from the park’s south entrance, the motel is within easy walking distance of six restaurants, art galleries, gift shops, a deli, a gourmet coffee shop, a bike rental shop and a bank with a 24-hour ATM. We are also near shuttle stops of the Springdale Town Loop, an extension of the Zion Canyon Shuttle system that transports visitors to the park’s south entrance so they do not have to struggle to find a parking spot in the visitor center parking lot in order to board the canyon shuttle to the most visited section of the park.

Despite its small size, Springdale offers a variety of entertainment options. The Zion Park Motel is one of the closest Springdale hotels to the Bumbleberry Playhouse, which features nightly live, on-stage entertainment, including a popular musical revue. Just south of the park’s entrance stands the Zion Canyon Giant Screen Theater, which shows a movie about Zion every day, as well as other large format movies about subjects ranging from sharks to cowboys. It also regularly screens first-run Hollywood films. Springdale is also home to the O.C. Tanner Amphitheater, a 2,000-seat venue in a spectacular outdoor setting that hosts a variety of concerts and other events.

Most Zion visitors choose to hike the park’s trails in order to explore its fantastic scenery. There are other ways to enjoy the breathtaking landscapes of the park and its surroundings, however. Springdale is home to outfitters that offer canyoneering excursions, many of which include climbing and rappelling. A tour company inside the park offers guided horseback rides and several St. George area companies provide ATV tours of trails surrounding the park, but not in the park itself.
